What is Reiki?
Reiki is a gentle, hands-on (or just above the body) energy practice that helps you relax, reset, and rebalance. Many people describe it as deeply calming and relaxing.
What happens during a Reiki session?
You’ll lie down, fully clothed, while I work through your energy centres (chakras). Most people feel warmth, tingling, or deep relaxation, some even drift off to sleep.
We recommend wearing something comfortable and relaxed. You’ll be lying down, so think cosy rather than fitted or restrictive.
Reiki is completely safe and suitable for beginners. You don’t need any experience or prior knowledge, just come as you are.
You don’t need to believe in anything specific. Many people come just looking to relax and that alone makes it worthwhile.
What are the benefits of Reiki?
- Deep relaxation – helps your body switch off from stress and drop into a calmer state
- Stress & anxiety support – many people feel lighter, quieter, and more balanced after a session
- Emotional release – can gently shift stuck feelings and bring a sense of ease
- Better sleep – supports deeper rest and helps calm a busy mind
- Energy balance – works to realign your energy centres (chakras) and restore flow
- Supports healing – complements physical and emotional healing (not a replacement for medical care)
- Mental clarity – helps clear the fog and bring a sense of perspective
- Time for you – a rare pause to rest, reset, and reconnect with yourself
