Some collaborations are written in the stars—and this one began with a dream.

Over a comforting cuppa and a shared love for all things magical, I sat down with Gemma McAteer, the heart and soul behind The Little Gem café in Royal Wootton Bassett. We were chatting about life, business, and our passions when the idea struck: what if we brought together the grounding comfort of coffee with the high vibes of crystals? A space where people could unwind, recharge, and connect—with each other, and with themselves.

And just like that, Coffee and Crystals was born.

We held our very first event in November 2024, not really knowing what to expect—but the response blew us away. It sold out within days. And it’s been selling out ever since. Each month, Gemma’s cosy café space transforms into a haven combining herbal teas, luscious lattes, sparkling stones, soulful chats, and a whole lot of good energy.

Gemma’s café, The Little Gem, has been a local treasure since she opened its doors in 2022. With its warm atmosphere and a menu full of healthy, hearty, and entirely plant-based delights, it’s a space that already brings comfort and nourishment to the community. She regularly hosts events, so when I brought Coffee and Crystals into the mix, it felt like the perfect extension of what she had already created—a place where people come not just to eat, but to feel at home.

This collaboration has been such a beautiful example of what happens when local businesses lift each other up. We each bring something different to the table: Gemma brings the grounding, nourishing energy of food and connection, and I bring the magic of crystals, intention, and woo. Together, we’ve created something bigger than the sum of its parts.

For both of us, this is about more than just business. It’s about community. It’s about sharing space, stories, and support. It’s about showing that when women in business come together with heart, soul, and a sprinkle of sparkle, amazing things happen.
